Founded by Clare A. Hatter and Samuel Jimenez-Romero, the Amicitia Chamber Orchestra’s mission is rooted in the belief that music thrives in an environment of friendship and collaboration. The word amicitia is latin for friendship.
Clare and Samuel became friends while studying music at San Diego State University’s School of Music and Dance. Their friendship developed into a partnership with a shared mission to make music with friends.
